Philosophical magazine "Date-Palm Compote" is
currently accepting manuscripts for future issues.

Compote" magazine welcomes articles on various problems of
contemporary philosophy from a vide range of approaches including
nontraditional that are usually beyond the scope of classical journals . It aims at bridging the
gap between “Big science” and informal but thought-provoking talk.
"Date-Palm Compote" encourages the exchange of ideas, and illustrates the
interdisciplinary work that is the hallmark of
contemporary philosophy.
"Date-Palm Compote" is
published by a group of postgraduate students of the Philosophy Department of
Lomonosov Moscow State University supported by Moscow Center for Consciousness Studies (hardproblem.ru).

Topics to be discussed in the Fall issue include (but are not limited to) the following:
- papers on the philosophy of language, particularly about the problems of reference and the meaning of «meaning»;
Call deadline: 1 August (max 1500 words).
Topics to be discussed in the Winter issue include (but are not limited to) the following:
- papers on the philosophy of language, particularly about the problems of reference and the meaning of «meaning»;
Call deadline: 1 August (max 1500 words).
Topics to be discussed in the Winter issue include (but are not limited to) the following:
- papers about the
problem of the external world;
Call deadline: 1 December (max 1500 words).
Other topics (for both issues) will comprise:
- papers on sociology and anthropology of academic life;
- historical papers on philosophical clubs and informal communities of philosophers (e.g. Platonic Academy, The Metaphysical Club in Harvard) It is possible to publish one long paper (max 4000 words) in parts and publish them in the Fall and Winter issues.
Prospective authors should note that only original and previously unpublished articles will be considered. Articles submitted to the journal should normally be no longer than 1,500 words.
Call deadline: 1 December (max 1500 words).
